ROSE CECIL

Rosie has had diverse careers from portrait painter, jewellery designer, mother, to front of house host, long distance walker, traveler, keen motorcyclist and pilgrim.

For the last three years, Rosie has been a volunteer in Ukraine. She is a member of the organisation MMR working as a driver for their medical teams driving a medevac on the Ukrainian frontline. She has done 3 full rotations and parts of others. She also works for Mission Ukraine UK delivering casevacs and also works independently creating and fostering opportunities to help Ukrainians. She has TECC (Tactical Emergency Casualty Care) certification from NAEMT, has attended the (ATACC) Anaesthesia Trauma & Critical Care course in ‘24 & ‘25.

Rosie continually documents her life in words and images. She has a large library of photographs and videos of MMR’s work.

She wrote a travel book during Covid about her motorcycle trip from Bangkok to Tbilisi, vlogged about her 1000km charity walk from Dorset to Edinburgh and keeps a diary via her Instagram account @roseinboots.

She lives by the maxim, ‘He that lives in hope dances without music’.
